Mantle Mirror Ideas

Hi All -

Looking for mirror ideas for over the fireplace. Ignore all the furniture (nothing is staying, but the layout will likely be oriented that way).

The blue tape will be a Frame TV.

Round? Rectangle? Another shape?

Thoughts and advice welcome!

What will the mirror reflect?

Perhaps the mantle should have a number of items placed there

The TV should be mounted lower

Maybe consider ladder shelving on either side of the FP

The mirror would reflect a window with lots of green trees and light. it’s a good angle! i like the layered items idea, and thank you for the height recommendation!

We wouldn't suggest a mirror over the fireplace. It might be best to look at some artwork that will bring the colors in the space together. Here is a recent design of ours. Please note the mantle decor:

The height for a TV is better with eye level 1/3 up not 1/2.

Thanks, everyone. Since it is a Frame TV, we will likely hang a little higher so it still looks okay in ”art mode.”

It’s kind of a funky layout; so we’ll juet lean into that and play with some levels.
